Install
Supported:- Windows XP (32/64 bit)
- Windows 7 (32/64 bit)
- PSPad freeware editor (http://www.pspad.com/)
- Integrated scripting support (WSH) enabled
- Uninstall any previous version which is older than 0.5. Go to http://hots.sourceforge.net with any browser.
- Download Hots wizard installer by clicking on "Download Now" and run it. It is recommended that you exit any running PSPad editor.
- Select preferred language for setup wizard.
- You will be greeted with welcome screen, click "Next". This will bring you to the selection of the destination path.
- You can change destination path by manually typing the location or click on "..." to select new folder. Click "Next" to continue.
- Select type of installation:
- Install for all users: Shortcuts and program group will be created for all users
- Install just for me: Shortcuts and program group will be created just for current user
- Portable: No shortcuts, program group or configuration is created on the system
Click "Next" to start the installation. - After installation finished, click "End" to complete. If "Run Hots on exit" check box is selected, Hots will start immediately after you click "End". If "Create desktop shortcut" check box is selected a desktop shortcut will be created after you click "End". If "Create Hots program group" check box is selected group box will be created after you click "End".
On Windows 7 you may see a UAC message. Allow the setup to run by clicking "Yes".
In case you have 0.5 version installed this will be detected by setup wizard.
Follow upgrade procedure.
Note:
If PSPad is running when "End" is clicked, Hots will focus PSPad and recompile jscripts. If you don't see Hots module under PSPad scripts try to recompile them manually or restart the PSPad.
Additionally to files installed into destination folder, the program uses javascripts which are installed to PSPad JScript directory. Check PSPad installation folder.
Command line:
Only for advanced users! All wizard actions can be performed also from command line.

| --debug | Start wizard in debug mode.(Debug file is created in current directory.) |
| --install[=PATH] | Install mode. If PATH not specified will be installed to C:\program files\Hots. |
| --allusers | Install for all users of the computer. Default. |
| --me | Install just for you. |
| --portable | Install in portable mode. |
| --lang=LANGUAGE | Wizard language. Default: English |
| --create-desktop-link | Create a desktop link. |
| --create-program-group | Create program group. |
| --uninstall | Uninstall program. |
| --remove-user-data | Remove user configuration data. |
| --repair | Repair installation. |
| --upgrade | Upgrade from older version. |
Wizard in command line mode does not print any error or status messages into command line.
Check for return value (0 everything was ok). In case of errors also error log file is created in current directory.
